Woodland Creatures For - Inspired By All The Little Things Challenge

I am so excited to be here with you today, sharing a project I've made for Inspired By All The Little Things Challenge Blog!  I am so honored to have been chosen as this week's Creative Guest Designer by my good friend Veronica Zalis, one of the Design Team members for this challenge.

So here is this weeks photo inspiration!  As you can see, I was inspired by the woodsy look.  The trees, greenery and mushrooms were incorporated into my creation, then I added critters from the WPlus9 Curious Forest Friends for some extra fun in the forest!

I heat embossed the sentiment in gold on vellum and glued it down across my panel and added some cute glittery enamel dots to cover the glue! So what do you think of those cute little mushrooms?  I love them, but would advise strongly against picking them!

I hope you'll join me this week over at Inspired By All The Little Things Challenge and create something to share!  Thanks for joining me today and for commenting on my project!

Studio Katia Simple and Adorable Christmas Tags

Hello everyone, I'm up on the Studio Katia blog today sharing these super fun and colorful gift tags I've made in anticipation of the holiday season.  I love attaching handmade tags and cards to the gifts I give, it makes them extra special!

I started by cutting my tag base using the brand new Dotted Shaker Tag – 2 Dies with some heavy weighted white cardstock.  I absolutely love the shape and pierced detail this die offers! Using my round sponge dauber, I applied Broken China Distress ink and a white acrylic paint splatter with a small round paint brush.  I always cut my white paint with water 50/50 to thin it out a bit, it makes a perfect snowflake or star consistency on my projects.
I Copic colored and cut out the images from Friends of Winter and Origami Winter stamp sets. I glued down the package and tree, then foam popped the characters up for a dimensional look.  To finish off my tags, I tied some eyelash yarn into the diecut circle on top, I love the sparkle this adds to my tags!
Here you can click on the photos and see them with a little more detail!

Thanks so much for stopping by and thanks in advance for your sweet comments!

Newton's Nook Designs September Release - Day 4

Hi everyone, today is Day 4 and the final day of previews, before the whole September release goes on sale tomorrow over at Newton's Nook Designs!

I am SO excited about today's stamp/die set, Newton's Costume Party.  While I loved all the sets in this month's release, I'm pretty sure this was my favorite.  Dressing Newton up in all these little costumes was just too much fun!  I love all the little accessories, there are so many options to create little trick or treating characters.

I started by inking my background in Stormy Sky Distress inks, I cut a strip of black grass using the Land Borders Die Set.  I took all of my characters that I'd cut and Copic colored and arranged them in a little Trick Or Treating group!  btw, I heat embossed the sentiment in white before I distress inked the background.  I love how that really stands out on the starry sky.

Thank you so much for dropping by, I'd love to hear from you if you'd like to comment below.. you could WIN this stamp set for yourself, make sure to scroll below to learn how!

Newton's Nook Designs September Release - Day 3

Hi all, I'm back today on Day 3 of the NND September release!  Today I'm sharing 2 cards as we've got 2 stamp/die sets to preview for Friday's release!

This first card, I used the new set, "Beautiful Bones" to stamp and die cut these gorgeous sugar skulls.  The leaves from the Autumn Leaves die set, (released last month), are inked up with various fall colors. I inked my background using Antique Linen distress ink and did some black ink splatter.  I glued all my leaves down and popped up skulls and hearts.  I combined these two sets to create my sentiment: Simply Relative and Lovely Blooms.  Zig Zag die cut is by Gina Marie Designs.

My second card uses this "Spooky Skeletons" stamp/die set.  I used Versafine Black Onxy ink to ink up the bats and doggie, then die cut them using the matching dies.  I inked up a large moon, clouds and ground, then stamped stars in the sky, my sentiment on the moon and then glued down my skeletons to complete this scene! Grey dots are by Gina Marie Designs.

Thank you so much for stopping, keep scrolling down to comment and WIN!

Newton's Nook Designs September Release - Day 2

Hi everyone!  Day 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs September Release!!  Today we are featuring this really spooky stamp/die "Creepy Cameos" set PLUS a separate die that cuts out the details on the cameo frame.

I like how this couple looked, heat embossed, mounted on a gold heat embossed frame and wanted them to really stand out.  It almost reminds me more of a wedding card than a Halloween card!  I added Mr. and Mrs. to a stitched rectangle cut out and stamped this great sentiment below.  I also added a peek of checkered cardstock behind the panel and finished off with some stamped bats and red enamel dots!

Keep scrolling for a chance to WIN this great stamp set!!!

Hello everyone!  Today I'm here for the Simon Says Stamp and Newton's Nook Designs Exclusive release for Stamptember!  Isn't this collaboration stamp/die set super sweet?  I absolutely adore all the images in this set!

(SSS SchoolHouse Red which was cut using Sugar Pea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles and Island Blue). Newton's Nook Designs September Release - Day 1

Hello everyone and welcome to Day 1 of the Newton's Nook Designs September release!  Today we are featuring a new stamp/die set called, "Shades of Autumn".

I started with some watercolor paper and painted the background using a few colors of green hybrid inks.  After drying, I splattered with a little gold and black ink.  While that was drying, I stamped and die cut out a bunch of these gorgeous leaves, they have a beautiful textured look to them!  I assembled on my card front in a collage style, over a tied piece of gold twine.  Lastly I add some enamel dots by GinaMarieDesigns and mounted on dark green cardstock, which I glued to my cardbase.

I decided to make a separate care using this gorgeous brand new stencil, Falling Leaves.  I started with a kraft panel and stenciled the leaves on using 4 fall colors of ink, (yellow, orange, green, maroon) starting with lightest first.  I added accents to the leaf edges with my white Gelly Roll pen to make them really stand out.

Once my panel was done, I colored the image of Newton in the pile of leaves and die cut him.  That set is called "Autumn Newton", part of last month's release, pictured below.  I die cut a scalloped piece from MFT Stitched Scallop Basic Edges die and foam taped the whole panel + image on top of my stenciled background.

Thanks SO MUCH for stopping, please leave a comment to win, scroll down to learn more!

Studio Katia New Release Sneak Peeks - Day 1

Hi everyone!  I'm so excited, this is my very first project as a DT member for Studio Katia.  I was so excited when I saw this stamp/die set, Meowy Halloween.  I absolutely love those kitties in their tall Halloween hats!  So without further delay, here's a bit of info on how I made my card:

I started by using a piece of removable Post It cover up tape straight across my background panel.  I first inked my night sky.

Before removing the tape, I mixed a bit of white acrylic paint and water and used my Distress brush to flick the background to look like stars in the night sky.

After the sky dried, I laid down a new piece of tape on the edge of the blue area, then used this combination of brown inks to make my ground. So that's how I made my background!

Once that was finished, I stamped, die cut and Copic colored all my images from the Meowy Halloween stamp set! I wanted to put these cute kitties in a big pumpkin patch!

I stamped a sentiment from Meowy Halloween onto the banner die that comes in the brand new die set, Dotted Patterns Scallop Frames, and popped it up with some foam tape. Lastly I added some of the green sequins from the mix, Witches Cauldron Sequin Fusion.

Here's what the entire set, plus new dies looks like!  Everything you see this week on the Studio Katia blog and DT's blogs, will be available in store on September 15th!

Thank you SO MUCH for joining me, I hope you've enjoyed my card.  Stay tuned for more gorgeous inspiration AND a blog hop this coming Friday, September 15th with lots of prizes!! over at the Studio Katia Blog!
